It wasn't like Angel was expecting Alastor to deny all the things he said but there was a small part of him that hoped he would, to tell him we was wrong. So when he didin't, it felt like there was a vise grip on his heart. Everything he said must have been true. He wasn't shocked but...A lump formed in his throat and his hands slid up to grasp at his hair, chocking back bitter tears. He always just going to be a thing to people. Something to pass around, used, toyed with. None of this was new information to the spider but didn't mean he liked it any less.
Without looking up Angel croaked out a response, if not a bit sarcastic. "Cause you grew up poor so you hold on to broken shit? That or you don't have a rich Sugar Daddy to help you pay for a new one."
