Rather than respecting Angel's wishes, he teleported through the door. He opened his mouth, preparing to say something, but the words died before they were fully-formed as he took in the spider.

He took two steps closer, reached out to Angel...

...and gently took him by the arm.

All the while he was scanning the spider's form, taking in the injuries and making a mental list.
